About the Role
Sales associates perform typical retail tasks, including:
**assisting customers, helping them find the racks and sizes they are looking for
**operating the cash register for customer checkout
**helping clients selling clothes to get setup
**explaining our unique concept to everyone who enters
**taking items customers have tried on and hanging in the right rack
**straightening and organizing the store during the week
Requirements
Retail experience required. Some leadership experience preferred
Must be able to work on Friday night for take down, or early Saturday morning for setup
Computer skills are useful - we use technology to streamline our business
Outgoing, sales-oriented personality
15-30 hours/week with some restrictions - we can work around a college schedule.
About the Company
Plaid Fox has turned around traditional resale. We want to give clients more control, more flexibility and more money for their gently used quality brand and style clothing, handbags and accessories. We rent racks for a week to our clients in the community who want to sell their items. They list, tag and set up their racks and we take care of all the rest - organizing the boutique, assisting shoppers, selling clothes and collecting sales tax. The client then keeps around 2/3 of the sales profits.
We modeled this store after the rent-a-rack and market stores in Finland and the Netherlands, where recycling is a way of life.
